Checking In

Hey guys,
been a while since I stropped by and I wanted to check in to let you know I still care .

I've been putting all my spare time and money into building that race car and and getting ready for opening night.
May 20th we (my grandson and I) made it around for time trials and then got rained out.
On the 27th we made time trials and then got an emergency call to come home my mom was sick.
We spent the last two and half weeks with mom at home as she became bed ridden and eventual died on the Tuesday of this week, she was 82.
The funeral was today and my Dad and siblings said we should go ahead and race tomorrow as mom would not have wanted us to miss it, the whole family is going to watch.

So tomorrow night (weather permitting) we make our race debut.
Based on the time trials we did run we are a good .8 seconds off the fast laps.... but hey stranger things have happened right.
Below is a picture of me driving under the flag mans perch during practice a couple of weeks ago, and also a link to a video interview a local guys did for us.

Joe, Sorry to hear about your mom. My condolences. So glad to see you have arrived at the track after your hard work on that Pontiac. Love your videos and I know you are having a blast. We miss you here at SPAZCAR but we are cheering for Joker Racing!

I'm still working long hours at the cement plant and hit the hay weekdays at 9 - 9:30 ET so Spazcar is still to late for me.

I can say for sure, I appreciate how real the online racing is more now than ever.
After being in the car on the track its amazing how familiar seems and I know its from racing with you guys.

I wish I knew more about setups.
I slotted the tops of the front strut mounts today in an attempt to give the front tires more Camber...
Gosh I hope the damn thing don't fall apart Saturday.
I'll let you know.

Hey Guys, my work scheduling is changing back to what it used to be so I should be able to get back into racing Tuesday nights.
Looking forward to getting a new video card that should help my performance some too.
