Just want to thank all of you that came out for the race. Sorry you had probs Rob. We'll try to get em sorted out ASAP. It seems like the server did a better job. I also apologize for resetting server last minute, I'll be sure to be on top of that for the next race. Something to keep in mind about "losing" the track. That may happen from time to time , so it's best to not rely on a "grip" setup. I'll be working at getting the fixed setups loaded in, and they may or may not be run on a green track, depending how the set is. The goal with the sets is to have a neutral feel start ending in a slight ( and i mean slight) push at the end of a run. This allows for tire strategy, pit strategy throughout the race. With test & tunes being Monday night, Fixed setups up will be on server that night , so i suggest early Tuesday attendance to get feel if possible for you. It will also mean Green track after loading the fixed tune, so you'll want to get some rubber down before race time, but i promise NOT to reset the server just before race time again.
I do want to commend quite a few of you for catching your cars when things went sour. Saw some great saves. We also had some good racing at times as well. I'm trying hard for the 3 car caution rule, so that we can run more laps per event and have equal segments. I appreciate you all understanding that. THe more time we can run at speed , the more we will get used to the cars, and used to each other. So hence the reasoning behind it. I'm liking these cars and some tracks are hit or miss obviously, but we'll plow along with them. I think we are shaping up for a good season.
One other thing, you'll get provisional points if you notify me in time (before race start) you can't make it. No word , no points. If you miss the mandatory driver's meeting at 7:35PM/PST, you start at the back of the pack. If you show up just at race time (7:50PM/PST), unless you contacted me, you won't be racing. I need to make sure that we get the green flag dropped by no later then 10 to the hour if we are going to get our laps in. Hope you understand why a little more serious about some of the rules this time out. I just want to make sure you folks are getting as good a return for your time invested as possible. Cause i really appreciate you all being here
See you all at Phoenix. IF the is a sonoma, it will be after Phoenix.
