So I'm looking for your feedback...I am a little undecided on how to wrap this championship up so please vote and chime in if you have a suggestion. And no," let's just race and not worry about it" is not an option for this season...lol
Thanks guys , looking forward to your input.
Option A
A win gets you a shot at the Spazcar Cup in the final race. It also makes you an automatic so therefore, the 4 spots that are left are filled by points order at the end of these next 2 races ( 1 is in the books already) So therefore , potentially 7 minimum drivers all have a shot at being the series champ. Bonus win points going in, normal 1 bonus for the following...Pole, Most laps, Lead a Lap, Most Overtakes, Best overall Finish or bad luck award (depending on stats) So it would be a normal points race, with all points tallied at end of night to determine the winner.
Option B
Nascars actual procedure
We forgo the wins as an automatic entry and only 4 drivers out the 8 that are currently eligible, move on to the final race with a chance at the series Cup. So it's based on the 3 race total of this Eliminator round. (This will be how Nascar is doing it). Clean slate at final, same points outline as Option A to determine the winner , except no prior win point bonus, but 1 more bonus point for winning the final race ( 43+1 instead of just 43).
Option C
Wins take up slots, so 1 only person can advance out the remaining 5 or less if there is a different winner then what we have now. Bonus win points at start of final race accumulated in this round of 3 races, normal points throughout the final event.
One thing I did forget to mention at the drivers meeting.
All Jeff has to do is start Homestead. At that point, he is the Spazcar Champion. He has won the Truck Series by 49 points over me and won the NW series by 77 points over me. There is no way anyone can beat him. He received 1 point per series won so he is up 2-0 currently. He also won the non point IROC series to boot.
So what we are racing for is the Spazcar Cup (series) this round, not the overall Championship.
Please vote, I value your input.
