The newest and at the moment PC only rally game from CodeMasters is out now on steam early access.
I know, another early access game, but the reason for it with this one is feedback, because they're finally making it all rally and for the more hardcore Sim racers. It will include Multi-player (Coming this summer) and will only have rally events, such as Rally stages, Hill climb and Rally cross. Cars from the 60's, 70's, 80's 90's to current. Including Group B and Group A.
Now I just downloaded this game and my impression so far is WOW!!!
The stages are much longer, like back in the Colin McCray days of the original CodeMasters rally games. And they will wear you out. Gone is the arcade grip, you really have to drive it now. Set-up is still done with sliders, so there is room for improvement there. But the cars handle way better or should I say more like the real thing, slick and a handful.
But the courses that are finished, are narrow and long like they should be.
The only setback for me at the moment, is the co-driver pace notes are broken, you can't here them or they just don't work, not sure why as I watched many videos where I could here them. But according to the community, I'm not the only one that can't.
With that said, I think we're about to see the best rally game/Sim that CodeMasters have done to date.
And the graphics are beautiful, and I can only run them at high with my little old I5 and GTX650ti, you guys with the 7 series and above should be able to run it at Ultra.
But so far, this is my new goto for rally.
