Ya Joe, I'm going to need to know your comp info. Like brand & model number. Also if possible a model# off motherboard. That is usually either in middle of board or off to right side. You can find this by taking the side cover off. Also. What you are using for a screen. If it's and actually pc monitor or tv and its model number. Sent from my SM-N900P using proboards Hey Ian, the computer is a Dell Inspiron 3847, web specs say 4gb ram it really has 8gb (see system specs in earlier post). Please check you PM for pictures of the interior. Looks like it has 3 available slots that consist of two different flavors of PCI. Thank you Joe.

I've been a fan of AMD processors for about 20 years. When I built my first pc back in about 1998 I went with AMD over Intel mainly because the AMD chips were less expensive and work just as well or better than Intel. My last pc build was in mid 2013 and with some help and advice from Ian I pulled the trigger. A co-worker of mine was upgrading one of his PC's and sold me his hardware for a great price. amd fx-8120 / 16gb gskill ram gigabyte / GA-970A-UD3 ATX mobo = $300 (bought from co-worker, who also helped with the build) Haf 912 case = $54.99 (fry's) Raidmax 630w psu = $89.99 - $40 rebate - $50 uverse debit card = $0 (fry's) Cooler Master 200mm blue fan = $15 (fry's) Case came with 2 120mm fans. It had one on the back and one on the front. I moved the one on the front to the top as an exhaust fan and put the blue 200mm fan in the front. I was still running 2 screens at this point and was waiting for the AMD cards to drop in price. They had jumped in price due to bitcoin farmers. Then in January of 2014 another co-worker was selling his old video card. He sold me his HD7970 with Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme for $160!!!! I was waiting for the r9 280x to drop back down to $300 but no way could I pass up this deal. These aftermarket fans are quiet as a mouse! Out with the old (GTS 450) in with the new (HD 7970 + aftermarket cooling fans.) So I have been running this rig since mid 2013 and with the AMD 7970 upgrade since January 2014. I have been very happy with it and still haven't considered any upgrades yet.
